Make friends and influence people for Christ in Venezuela

We are servants of and partners with: the Lutheran Church of Venezuela (ILV) and the missionaries of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod serving in Venezuela.

Like a gifted young person with great potential, the Lutheran Church of Venezuela is poised to take significant strides in proclaiming the Gospel.

• The ILV has 1500+ members and growing.
• Venezuelan pastors and leaders direct more and more of the church's ministry and mission.

VLMP accepts the challenge of expanding God's Kingdom in Venezuela, considered one of the most difficult to evangelize countries in Latin America, due to:

• burgeoning cities
• poverty and high inflation
• corruption at all levels of society
• moral and spiritual decline
• deterioration of families
• rampant occultism and spiritism
• indifference to the Gospel

VLMP has united with our brothers and sisters in the ILV to assist them in overcoming these hurdles.

VLMP's goals include:

• to enhance and enable the ILV's progress, without creating dependency.
• to build permanent, personal friendships between Venezuelans and North Americans.
• to publicize the ILV's work and needs.
• to pray for the sake of lost people.
• to enlist, assist, and encourage missionaries to Venezuela.
• to raise mission vision and involvement in both Venezuela and North America.
• to partner with the ILV in evangelizing unreached peoples in Venezuela and beyond.
• to use Venezuelan experiences and contact to enhance Latino outreach in North America.

VLMP was established by members from four LCMS Churches in the Twin Cities:

• Woodbury Lutheran Church, Woodbury, MN
• St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Bloomington, MN
• Beautiful Savior, Plymouth, MN
• Cristo El Redentor, St. Paul, MN

We invite you to join us in supporting evangelism, church planting , and leadership development in Venezuela. The only requirement for membership in VLMP is to read and state your agreement with our mission statement, goals, and priorities. We will send you this information upon request.
