Interested in sharing Jesus' love in another culture?
Want to make friends with Christians in another country? VLMP is now
accepting applications for two short-term Mission Vision Trips in 2007 --
July 13-23 and August 10-20. Participants will experience living on an
active mission field in a different culture and be able to form relationships
with local Christians as you work to strengthen their church. Please email
venmission@hotmail.com for an application or further information.
The specific
destination will be set based on the priority of the churches in
Venezuela. The team will do work projects based on the team
skills and needs of the local church as well as children’s ministry and
community outreach projects.
Pre-trip training includes
overviews on Venezuelan culture and core value system and well as
Missiology, preparing your own testimony and how to fund-raise for your
mission.
La
Finca Luterana "Tierra de Gracia" - An
agricultural
mission project. With the help of La Iglesia
Luterana de Venezuela, the national Lutheran Church of Venezuela, the
congregation of Cristo Rey in Maturin, capital of the eastern state of
Monagas, is supporting the development of a working farm in the
surrounding countryside. According to a business plan developed by
agricultural missionary Dale Saville, the farm will train agricultural
workers in better means of crop production and marketing, and generate
enough revenue in its own right to support one to two pastors who would
serve small rural churches that cannot afford to pay full-time church
workers on their own. Learn more about this project at http://finca.ilv-venezuela.net/inglis.html.
